LUÍSA SALVADOR

Luísa Salvador nasceu em 1988 em Lisboa, Portugal.

Em 2009 termina o curso de Escultura da Faculdade de Belas-Artes da Universidade de Lisboa (FBAUL). No mesmo ano começa o Mestrado em História da Arte Contemporânea da Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa (FCSH-UNL) terminando-o em Junho de 2012. A sua tese final foi intituladaPaisagem-Acção (1960-1970) .
A sua pesquisa foca-se maioritariamente na noção de Paisagem como lugar que reflecte acções humanas em vez de algo para ser visto e não tocado.
Em Julho de 2012 integra a equipa de produção de Les Ateliers de l’EuroMéditerranée , o programa de residências artísticas de Marseille - Provence 2013 – Capitale Européenne de la Culture.

Presentemente frequenta o primeiro ano do Curso de Doutoramento em História da Arte Contemporânea da FCSH-UNL.

O seu trabalho artístico traduz-se em diferentes media, como fotografia, vídeo, desenho, instalação e dispositivos espaciais, juntamente com escritos teóricos, críticas de arte e trabalho curatorial.
Desde 2011 tem vindo a desenvolver colaborações com artistas e arquitectos.
Juntamente com Joana Duarte, em Outubro de 2012 foi vencedora do concurso de ideias Made-In, da programação oficial de Guimarães 2012- Capital Europeia da Cultura.
Em 2013 a sua proposta foi seleccionada para integrar a programação do Pavilhão KAIROS, Lisboa, que inaugurará no segundo semestre de 2014.

Luísa Salvador was born in 1988 in Lisbon, Portugal.

In 2009 she graduated in Sculpture in Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade de Lisboa (FBAUL). In the same year she started her Master in Contemporary Art History in Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa (FCSH-UNL) finishing it in June 2012. Her final thesis is entitled Landscape-Action (1960-1970).
Her research is mainly focused in the notion of Landscape as a place that reflects human actions rather than something to be seen and not touched.
In July 2012 she joins the production team of Les Ateliers de l’EuroMéditerranée, the artistic residencies program of Marseille-Provence 2013 – Capitale Européenne de la Culture.

Currently she is a Phd candidate in Contemporary Art History in FCSH-UNL.

Her artistic work is expressed through multiple media such as photography, video, drawing, installation and space devices, along with theoretical writings, art reviews and curatorial work.
Since 2011 she has developed several works in collaboration with artists and architects.
Along with Joana Duarte, in October 2012 was one of the winners of the open-call competition Made-In, from the oficial programmation of Guimarães 2012- European Capital of Culture.
In 2013 her proposal was selected to be part of the KAIROS Pavilion program, in Lisbon, with the opening scheduled for the second semester of 2014.
