PEZO VON ELLRICHSHAUSEN

Pezo Von Ellrichshausen é um atelier de arte e arquitectura fundado em Concepción (Chile) em 2002, por Mauricio Pezo e Sofia Von Ellrichshausen. Mauricio Pezo é Mestre em Arquitectura pela Pontifica Universidad Católica de Chile (Santiago, 1998), Licenciado pela Universidad Bío-Bío (Concepción, 1999) e foi galardoado com o Prémio Arquitecto Jovem pelo Colégio de Arquitectos de Chile (Santiago, 2006). Sofía Von Ellrichshausen é Arquitecta pela Universidad de Buenos Aires, onde foi distinguida com o Diploma de Honor FADU-UBA (Buenos Aires, 2002). Ambos leccionam regularmente no Chile e foram Professores Visitantes na The University of Texas (Austin, 2011) e em Cornell University (Nova Iorque, 2009). O seu trabalho foi distinguido com o Prémio da Rice Design Alliance (Houston, 202), o Prémio da V Bienal Iberoamericana de Arquitectura y Urbanismo (Montevideo, 2006), o Prémio da XV Bienal de Arquitectura de Chile (Santiago, 2006), um dos AR Award for Emerging Architecture (Londres, 2005) e foi nomeado para o Iakov Chernikov Prize (Moscovo, 2012, 2010). Pezo e Von Ellrichshausen foram os curadores do Pavilhão Chileno da Bienal de Veneza 2008 e foram seleccionados para a mostra oficial da Exposição Internacional de Arquitectura da Bienal de Veneza (Veneza, 2010).


Pezo Von Ellrichshausen is an art and architecture studio established in Concepcion in 2002 by Mauricio Pezo and Sofia von Ellrichshausen. Mauricio Pezo completed a Master in Architecture at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile (Santiago, 1998), a degree in Architecture from the Universidad del Bio-Bio (Concepcion, 1999) and has been awarded the Young Architect Prize by the Chilean Architects Association (Santiago, 2006). Sofia von Ellrichshausen holds a degree in Architecture from the Universidad de Buenos Aires (Buenos Aires, 2002) where she was distinguished with the FADU-UBA Honors Diploma. They teach regularly in Chile and have been Visiting Professors at The University of Texas (Austin, 2011) and at Cornell University (New York, 2009). Their work has been distinguished with the Rice Design Alliance Prize (Houston, 2012), the V Iberoamerican Architecture Biennial Award (Montevideo, 2006), the XV Chilean Architecture Biennial Award (Santiago, 2006), the AR Awards for Emerging Architecture (London, 2005) and has been twice nominated both to the BSI Swiss Architectural Award (Mendrisio, 2012, 2010) and to the Iakov Chernikov Prize (Moscow, 2012, 2010). Pezo and Von Ellrichshausen have been the curators of the Chilean Pavilion at the 2008 Venice Biennale and selected for the official International Architecture Exhibition at La Biennale di Venezia (Venice, 2010).
