O Pavilhão KAIROS tem paredes semi-cegas: é permitida a visualização do seu interior a partir de dois pontos, em cantos diagonais da sua planta quadrada.
Subidas as escadas, compreende-se a totalidade do que é o seu interior, apenas quando nos debruçamos e olhamos para o seu fundo.
SANDBOX consiste em permitir a utilização total do interior do pavilhão, que na sua origem é inacessível. O seu interior será preenchido com areia, a mesma areia utilizada como inerte no fabrico dos blocos de betão que configuram o espaço.
A areia será nivelada pelo arranque da última fila do muro superior deste espaço interior.
Aos visitantes será assim possibilitada a relação física directa com o volume interior da qual poderão resultar variadas apropriações, desde a percepção táctil do material, à criação de desenhos anónimos que explorarão a plasticidade do material/ areia.

The KAIROS Pavilion has semi-blind walls: the view from inside is allowed from two points on diagonal corners of its square plan.
Climbed the stairs, we understand the totality of what is inside, only when we lean in and look at its ground.
SANDBOX aims to allow a full use of the pavilion's interior, which in its origin is inaccessible. Its interior is filled with sand, the same sand used as inert in the manufacture of concrete blocks that configure the space.
The sand is capped by the start of the last row of the upper wall of the interior space.
Visitors will thus secured the direct physical relationship with the interior volume from which may result various appropriations from the tactile sense of the material, to the creation of anonymous drawings that explore the plasticity of the material / sand.
